Old Skool Drum Machine Samples

Postby AS400XL on Fri Feb 05, 2010 3:24 am

For anyone who wants em, there's a stash of original samples from the Oberheim DMX, Sequential Circuits Drumtraks and Linn LM1 and Linn 9000 drum machines at http://www.electrongate.com/dmxfiles/downloads.html.

The samples are dumped to .wav from the ROMs (the chips inside the drum machines that the sounds were stored in) and as such, they might come in obscure formats (like low bitrates and/or strange sampling rates), but rest assured they are _the_ originals.
Its pretty easy to import any of the samples into some generic audio editor like audacity or whatever then change the rates and export them as 16bit 44.1k wavs so your sofware or hardware samplers don't scream in pain on the loadings. (If demand is big I might just do all this and lash 'em into a .zip somewhere close by)

So yeah - Old Skool!!

Linns: http://www.electrongate.com/dmxfiles/linn/index.html
Drumtraks: http://www.electrongate.com/dmxfiles/drumtraks/index.html

(also: make sure to get the .WAV files as the .BINs are the rom dumps themselves and are only useful if you wanna blow yer own proms with em ;)

Norms of the drum machines was loud to the play in the hall and open area places where no need for the speakers. Those samples of the drums came from uk essay writing service company which is also a school of the music.
