Microphones for DJing and Sampling?

I'm interested in getting a microphone. Ideally, I'd like it to be suitable for DJ voiceovers as well as recording drum hits and live beats and sounds. Can 1 mic do all this? How much do I need to spend to get something decent?

I've used mics years ago in choir performances but that's about the extent of my knowledge, so any help is appreciated
